Your files stay yours.
Our initial tools process files and text in your browser. File contents are not uploaded to the VDO Tools server.
What the service stores
If you create an account, we store your name, email address, a password hash, account settings, and access details. We store tool names, credit costs, timestamps, and job status for up to 30 days. We do not store the input text, file names, or generated output.
Free limits and essential cookies
Essential session cookies keep you signed in and protect requests. Daily free limits use a keyed hash of your public IP address, rather than storing that address in the application’s credit table. Visitors sharing an IP share the five-credit daily allowance. Hosting access logs may separately contain IP addresses under the host’s retention settings.
Retention and administration
Expired daily-limit records are removed after two days, job records after 30 days, and administrator change records after 180 days by the scheduled maintenance task. Account records remain while the account exists. Contact the site owner through their published business contact to request account deletion; an automated deletion workflow is not yet available.
Browser processing limits
Large or complex files can exceed your device’s memory. PDF compression rebuilds pages as images, which removes selectable text, interactive forms, links, and accessibility structure. Keep your original file. Encrypted PDFs are not supported. No malware scanning or digital-signature verification is provided.
Payments
Checkout is not currently connected, and VDO Tools does not collect card details. Payment-provider information and business contact details must be published before paid subscriptions launch.
Service status
This is the initial service release. Verify important results and keep original files. Availability and output size vary by device and input. Administrator access is restricted to designated owner accounts.
